Thanks Avi! Nice explanation. Basically, if I am not mistaken -

- "Inference" is an example of Probability

- "Hypothesis Test" is an example of Likelihood.

Correct?

Probabilities sum up to 1 over the given domain. Likelihood values do not. Read this article with that in mind and it should make even more sense.
